We want to make a meaningful and healthy difference in the lives of British Columbians. It's a belief we've always held. This is demonstrated not only by the way we operate as a company, but also by the way our employees regularly get involved in the communities they live in.
Our success as an organization depends a lot on our connections in the business community, our customers, our employees, governments, community organizations and many others. As much as we work to continually improve our organization and the service we provide to our members, we believe it is important to give back to the community as much as we can. That's what our Community Connection program is all about.
Our approach to social responsibility was established through input and consultation
with our employees and from within the community to ensure needs are met while remaining
true to ourselves. Pacific Blue Cross has identified three areas of focus for our Community
Connection: Health, Environment, and Community, each with specific objectives.
