Optional Life Insurance

Optional Life allows employees to meet their individual needs by tailoring their own coverage. BC Life issues Optional Life coverage on the employee and/or the spouse. This benefit is taken in conjunction with BC Life's group Term Life policy.

Plan Specifications:

• issued in units of $10,000 or in multiples of the basic life schedule (times annual salary)
• maximum benefit $250,000 for groups of 10 to 49 employees
• waiver of premiums to age 65
• smoker and nonsmoker rates
• conversion privileges for the employee only.
