Conversion from Group Plan

If your group coverage is ending, don't be alarmed. Pick up the phone and take advantage of the conversion privilege.

If you have recently lost your group benefits due to retirement or a lay-off, you can continue the care you're used to under our Blue Choice conversion privilege. The conversion privilege allows you to move seamlessly from your existing plan to our Blue Choice plan.

Blue Choice is also ideal for over-age dependents who are no longer covered under their parent's plan.

Unlike standard individual plans, the conversion privilege under our Blue Choice plan covers pre-existing conditions and allows applicants to bypass the no claims waiting period for dental and vision care benefits. The privilege is only available once, and applicants must subscribe within 60 days of their previous coverage being cancelled. To be eligible for the conversion privilege, applicants must have had continuous coverage for at least six months under a group plan with the same benefits.
